1. Tell us about yourself.
Well, I’m a mom of three boys, Liam, Asa & Finn, and one girl, Roselyn. I really love to snuggle them close and kiss their squishy cheeks. I’m married to my high school sweetheart. We have way too much fun together, and I seriously never get tired of loving him. I live in the midwest, in the same town I grew up in. I write because I always have. I am motivated by a gracious God and consistently transformed by His love for me.
2. What are your favorite books?
Novels: Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, every Harry Potter book & The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Devotionals/Spiritual Growth: Come Away My Beloved by Frances J. Roberts & The Furious Longing of God by Brennan Manning
My aunt also wrote a book about some great wisdom that came from my grandma: Dead Rita’s Wisdom
3. Do you have any parenting advice?
The best advice I can offer is to trust your instincts, trust yourself & your abilities, and know that everybody who is a parent struggles. Everybody. You aren’t alone.
4. Why the name Soul Strings?
I’m never thinking of myself and my faith as one solitary thing. When I write, a lot of different things go through my mind, and I have a lot of strings stemming into Jesus: my marriage, my kids, my friends, my family, my womanhood. This place I’ve created here is to dig deep into the roots of these strings and find out how I can bring them all back to Jesus.
